Production Sample Leader

Wages: Salary dependent upon experience
Hours: 45-50 hours/week including off-peak hours dependent upon deadlines
Travel: Field-based up to 100 miles/month with travel compensation

Position Summary

Seeking a highly motivated customer service and quality-driven leader to elevate our manufacturing operations and Quality Assurance department. The ideal candidate will proactively monitor production processes with a focus on quality inspection that meets customer-driven standards.

Independent initiative is key while ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures with the collaborative support of management and a variety of departments. This role requires strong analytical skills, risk assessment, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform production inspection and packing of final products whilst meeting project deadlines.
  • Accurately maintain quality inspection documentation, audit reports and quality assurance proposals.
  • Report process deviations and collaborate with production team members to quickly implement corrective actions to ensure product compliance.
  • Verify product specifications, dimensions, and appearance against both company and customer standards.
  • Identify, communicate, and document non-conforming manufacturing procedures.
  • Propose and implement corrective actions toward non-compliant departments
  • Participate in problem-solving proposals focused on task efficiency and project standardization with the support of AI tools

Required Qualifications

  • Paramount focus on quality, meeting deadlines and customer satisfaction
  • Attention to detail with a demonstrated focus on defect identification, product discrepancies, and process variations
  • Strong commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship with the ability to complete records accurately and thoroughly
  • Communication skills and written communication with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to use measuring tools, gauges, and inspection equipment.
  • Teamwork with the ability to collaborate effectively with both production and non-production staff members.

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
  • 2+ years of manufacturing, quality assurance, or customer service
  • Ability to read standard operating procedures, measuring devices, product specifications
  • Basic use of Microsoft 365 and MacOS or Windows 11
  • Experience with inspection procedures and working in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to identify defects and read measuring instruments.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with appropriate PPE.
