Cassandra Crawford Appointed Director of Customer and Distribution Services

Michael T. Lukas, Chief Executive Officer of Fry Communications, is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Cassandra Crawford to Director of Customer and Distribution Services. She will assume responsibility for the PILOT Department in addition to her current role of Customer Service Manager.

Cassandra joined Fry’s Prepress department in 1993 as a data entry person, but quickly moved up to a supervisor then prepress planner role. In 2004 she transitioned to working with Fry’s digital edition products and other digital services, functioning as both sales rep and technical support/development. She was promoted to Digital Products and Services Group (DPSG) Manager in 2015. In 2021 she moved into Customer Service and was appointed Customer Service Manager the following year.

The creation of this new Director role at Fry establishes a greater connection between the Customer Service and Pilot Departments, allowing the company to leverage the resources of both departments to prioritize client needs at a higher level.

In addition, the company has asked Bob Intrieri, Mailing Manager, to lead an increased focus on improving the net quality of work out of both areas. Bob is uniquely qualified for this role given his long leadership in customer service and his experience as Mailing Manager in Pilot.

“My primary responsibility is to help my team provide the best service possible,” Cassandra said. “That means improving our existing tools, incorporating new technologies, streamlining processes, and bringing it all together to grow our capabilities.

“I’m excited to be more involved in the decision-making that will keep moving Fry forward,” she continued. “I lived the evolution from analog to digital, but the adaptations we’ll need to make in this next chapter to remain competitive and profitable will be especially challenging. We’re going to have to rely more heavily on our ingenuity and commitment to service than ever.”
