July 2026 – National Rain Day
In the late 1800s, a pharmacist in Waynesboro, PA, noticed that it always seemed to rain on July 29. So he started keeping records – and discovered that he was right! His brother took over the recordkeeping in the 1920s, and in the 1930s a journalist started sending out “Rain Day” stories from Waynesboro to other papers. And so, Rain Day began.
The gloss UV and raised gloss UV perfectly reflect the wet rain, while the reticulation on the frog depicts his bumpy yet shiny skin.
