Fry Communications Adds Tabbing System to Bindery
Mechanicsburg, PA - 11/23/2004 - Fry Communications, Inc. announces further expansion of its extensive bindery capabilities with the addition of a High Speed Tabbing System.
The Tabbing System applies stickers to signatures and covers prior to the final binding function. This includes standard sized perfect bound and saddle stitch signatures, flat perfect bound covers, and tabloid size signatures The stickers may be sized from approximately 3/4" square (or 3/4" in diameter) up to 4" by 6" and can be applied virtually anywhere on the signature or cover.
The machine can also perform wafer sealing and tabbing functions, providing a means for publishers of slimjim and digest sized products to qualify for reduced postal rates when traying their product. Savings can be as high as $0.05 per piece.
The High Speed Tabbing System also provides more precise and more consistent sticker placement over hand application.
